Its case architecture is inspired by the four-arm double-wishbone suspension used in formula racing cars, reinforcing the watch's performance-focused character.

The case combines carbon-fiber-reinforced resin and stainless steel, providing strength while keeping the construction relatively lightweight. It measures 50.1 × 44.5 × 13.3 mm and weighs approximately 115 g with its stainless steel bracelet.

A genuine carbon fiber dial enhances the motorsport theme. Small apertures around the three inset dials allow light to reach the solar panels positioned underneath, enabling Casio to use an opaque carbon-fiber main dial while maintaining efficient solar charging.

The stainless steel bezel and bracelet receive black ion plating, giving the EQS-960DC-1AVUDF a stealthy, premium appearance. The stainless steel bracelet is secured with a convenient one-touch three-fold clasp and accommodates wrist sizes from approximately 150 to 205 mm.

Casio's solar charging system converts sunlight and even fluorescent lighting into electrical energy. When fully charged, the watch can continue normal operation for approximately five months without additional charging.
