Pokémon Shield for Nintendo Switch is a role-playing adventure set in the Galar region, where players begin their journey as a Pokémon Trainer, catch and train Pokémon, battle Gym Leaders, and work toward becoming Champion.

Choose your first partner Pokémon from Grookey, Scorbunny, or Sobble, then explore towns, routes, stadiums, and the Wild Area. Pokémon Shield introduces Dynamax battles, Max Raid Battles, online trading, battling, and Legendary Pokémon Zamazenta.

Designed for Nintendo Switch, Pokémon Shield supports TV mode, tabletop mode, handheld mode, local wireless features, and online play with Nintendo Switch Online.
