DJI OM Multifunctional Module 2
DJI OM Multifunctional Module 2 expands the capabilities of the Osmo Mobile 8P with AI-powered tracking for people, cats, dogs, vehicles, and general objects. It features gesture control, a reversible plug-and-play design, and a built-in fill light with eight adjustable brightness and color-temperature levels for easier solo filming and vlogging.
DJI OM Multifunctional Module 2 is designed to provide intelligent subject tracking and improved lighting for the DJI Osmo Mobile 8P. It connects directly to the gimbal through the roll-axis USB-C port and uses a quick reversible mounting system, allowing it to face forward or backward depending on the filming setup.
Powered by onboard AI, the module can track people, cats, dogs, vehicles, and general objects without relying entirely on the smartphone’s processing performance. General object tracking requires the user to manually select the subject, while effective tracking range depends on the object’s size, contrast, and visibility.
Gesture control allows creators to start tracking and operate supported shooting functions from a distance, making the module especially useful for solo vlogging, livestreaming, tutorials, product demonstrations, and social media content.
The integrated fill light delivers up to 40 lux at a distance of 0.6 meters. It offers eight adjustable brightness and color-temperature levels across a range of 2500–6500 K, helping users create warmer or cooler lighting according to the scene.
The module is compatible with DJI OM magnetic phone clamps and the Magnetic Quick-Release Mount. It also supports video transmission to Osmo FrameTap when used with the Osmo Mobile 8P, a feature not available with the first-generation multifunctional module.
